We recommend that PhoneControl is installed on a dedicated computer as other software, including anti-virus software, may interfere with the functioning of the PhoneControl system. PhoneControl software will run on any current-standard Personal Computer / Server or Virtual Server (VMware), however the performance of the PhoneControl system is directly related to the capacity of the computer.

The minimum recommended computer specifications for all other PhoneControl systems are:

Operating System	Windows XP / Vista / 7(sp1) / 8 / Server 2003(sp2) / 2008 / 2012
Processor	<   300 extensions - Intel I5
	< 1,000 extensions - Intel I7 3GHz or better
	> 1,000 extensions - Intel Dual Core 3GHz Xeon or better
	>10,000 extensions - Contact PhoneControl sales for a recommendation
Memory	1GB or more for systems < 300 extensions.
	2GB or more for systems <1,000 extensions.
	4Gb or more for systems >1,000 extensions.
Hard Disk	>40GB - RAID disk mirroring is recommended.
	Disk storage required is based on 600MB, plus approx. 400Mb per 1,000 extensions or mobiles per year.
Ports	TCP/IP Network port (with IP data collection, a Local Area Network (LAN) access or a network printer)
DVD drive	(Optional) only required when Software or billing data is delivered on DVD.
Printer	(Optional) for local printing of report data
Backup Media	(Optional) for local backup of PhoneControl data
